GTA Connected Instructions

1. Make sure what version of GTA IV you have. You can do this by right clicking GTAIV.exe in the game folder -> properties and then click on Details.
If you are using version 1.0.7.0 or 1.0.8.0 skip to step 3. If using Steam or Rockstar Games Launcher (RGL) version of the game, go to step 2.

2. Go to here and download the 1.0.8.0 patch. Open it up with your ZIP software of choice and drag the Retail folder into your main game folder.
(DO NOT REPLACE MAIN GAME FOLDER FILES WITH RETAIL FOLDER CONTENTS!!!)

3. Download GTA Connected Client here and run the installer. When done it should open. Skip to step 5.
If the launcher did NOT open, go to step 4.

4. You can find and manually start or create a shortcut for the Launcher. Press Windows+R button to open Run prompt, then type "%localappdata%" (without the quotation marks) and press OK. Find Jack's Mini Network -> Grand Theft Auto Connected -> Launcher.exe
"C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Jack's Mini Network\Grand Theft Auto Connected\Launcher.exe".

5. Click on Tools in the top bar and select Launcher Settings. In there you can change your nickname, which is used as your in-game name.
Use normal characters.

6. Click on Tools again and this time select Game Settings. For game select: Grand Theft Auto IV. For game EXE path either use the GTAIV.exe from your main game folder.
(If you already had a 1.0.7.0/1.0.8.0 game). Otherwise select the GTAIV.exe in Retail folder.

7. Click on the Internet tab, find "[EU] Argonath RPG" and double click it to join.

Alternatively you can add the server to your Favourites tab. Click on the Favourites tab, then click on Server in the top bar. Click on Add Server and use the following address: "85.215.149.166:22000".
You should now be able to see [EU] Argonath RPG server in your Favourites.

Troubleshooting

- If you get an error for 'Galactic3D::XWin32Exception', you need the Visual C++ 2005 x86 version redistributable. Download and install it.

- If you get an error for "Failed to load binkw32.dll" you might have Ultimate ASI Loader installed. Restore the old binkw32.dll into your main game folder.
Some downgraders replace the binkw32.dll and rename the old one to binkw32.dll.original. In this case remove the binkw32.dll and rename the binkw32.dll.original to binkw32.dll.

- If you see no servers, check your internet connection or DNS settings.

- If you cannot open the chat, try T or Y.
You can change to your preferred key in the GTA IV game menu under Controls. Change the key for Text Chat All.
